EXAM....

the college and the exam has taken me away...has really no time for anyting..full of stress...1st and 2nd Sept my assessment..for Furniture Design & Interior Design subject..hape everything goes on well and hope everything will done finish by the time..need to print out all my drawings..




When exams are near,
they cause a great fear,
because things aren't clear
and some subjects aren't dear.

Chapters and chapters,
haven't been read,
problems and problems,
haven't been done.

Some revise and re-revise,
some see for the first time.
Some are cool and calm,
some are tense and down.

Everything happens!
some forget pens,some forget points,
some make mistakes and some miss questions.

For some luck comes by,for some it dosen't,
but,for the cool and calm guy,
it's always gonna be high!

So friends,keep cool and write u'r exams!!!







Last Monday went for a interview for my internship at IKEA...and guess what..I GOT THAT JOB!!!
for 3months starting from OCT, NOV, DEC...very happy and exited to join working experience..  =)
Hope everything goes on smoothly this time.. 

:: ONAM ASHAMSAKAL ::

Onam is the biggest festival in the Indian state of Kerala. Onam Festival falls during the Malayali month of Chingam (Aug - Sep) and marks the homecoming of legendary King Mahabali. Carnival of Onam lasts for ten days and brings out the best of Kerala culture and tradition. Intricately decorated Pookalam, ambrosial Onasadya, breathtaking Snake Boat Race and exotic Kaikottikali dance are some of the most remarkable features of Onam - the harvest festival in Kerala.

Onam is the biggest and the most important festival of the state of Kerala. It is a harvest festival and is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm all over the state by people of all communities. According to a popular legend, the festival is celebrated to welcome King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit Kerala at the time of Onam.

Onam is celebrated in the beginning of the month of Chingam, the first month of Malayalam Calendar (Kollavarsham). This corresponds with the month of August-September according to Gregorian Calendar.

Carnival of Onam lasts from four to ten days. First day, Atham and tenth day, Thiruonam are most important of all. Popularity and presentation of rich culture of the state during the carnival made Onam the National Festival of Kerala in 1961. Elaborate feasts, folk songs, elegant dances, energetic games, elephants, boats and flowers all are a part of the dynamic festival called Onam.

Government of India has taken due notice of this vibrant and colorful festival. It promotes Onam internationally in a big way and celebrates 'Tourist Week' for Kerala during Onam celebrations. Thousands of domestic and foreign tourists visit Kerala to be a part of Onam. 

Story goes that during the reign of mighty asura (demon) king, Mahabali, Kerala witnessed its golden era. Every body in the state was happy and prosperous and king was highly regarded by his subjects. Apart from all his virtues, Mahabali had one shortcoming. He was egoistic. This weakness in Mahabali's character was utilized by Gods to bring an end to his reign as they felt challenged by Mahabali's growing popularity. However, for all the good deed done by Mahabali, God granted him a boon that he could annually visit his people with whom he was so attached.

It is this visit of Mahabali that is celebrated as Onam every year. People make all efforts to celebrate the festival in a grand way and impress upon their dear King that they are happy and wish him well.

Rich cultural heritage of Kerala comes out in its best form and spirit during the ten day long festival. It is indeed a treat to be a part of the grand carnival. People of Kerala make elaborate preparations to celebrate it in the best possible manner.

The most impressive part of Onam celebration is the grand feast called Onasadya, prepared on Thiruonam. It is a nine course meal consisting of 11 to 13 essential dishes. Onasadya is served on banana leaves and people sit on a mat laid on the floor to have the meal.

Another enchanting feature of Onam is Vallamkali, the Snake Boat Race, held on the river Pampa. It is a colourful sight to watch the decorated boat oared by hundreds of boatmen amidst chanting of songs and cheering by spectators.

There is also a tradition to play games, collectively called Onakalikal, on Onam. Men go in for rigorous sports like Talappanthukali (played with ball), Ambeyyal (Archery), Kutukutu and combats called Kayyankali and Attakalam. Women indulge in cultural activities. They make intricately designed flower mats called, Pookalam in the front courtyard of house to welcome King Mahabali. Kaikotti kali and Thumbi Thullal are two graceful dances performed by women on Onam. Folk performances like Kummatti kali and Pulikali add to the zest of celebrations.

Yesterday nite..it was a happiest moment for me...He come and visit me..(Ugadesh Vinodh)..lots of things we talk and share...And thats what makes me relived and happy..(Ugadesh) i do still keeping all the words that I told u... And thank you so much for turning up last nite. And thats what make me put a big SMILE  =)

As I go on and on, up and down, left and right
not knowing where not knowing how
all I’ve got is a bit of hope and a bit of faith...
Unaware of my path, unaware of my destination
unaware of my mind, so lost in thought!!


Far so far there I see a RAINBOW
A rainbow so bright n spread so wide
A rainbow so pretty
it makes me loose all of the pain and
the sorrows of the past
which I hope to forget at last ...


I then start to ponder
is it all for real or is it all fake???
Coz never did I see so much beauty
in this world so fake!!!


Now my heart wakes up to solve this strain
and help me name this rainbow which is driving me insane..
And so it goes
lupp dupp lupp dupp
as if there pours rain
and in just a few moments the mystery gets solved..


"Its not just a rainbow, its your HAPPIEST MOMENT waiting for you"
is all it says!!!


And so I jump with all the joy
a jump so high, it makes me fly high in the sky
ohhh it makes me cry..
But my brain so haughty it keeps acting naughty
and comes back into play
asking me not to wait
and run fast till I reach my aim
and loose all of my pain, forever at once
just as water flows as rain


But I answer back
"don’t be so greedy of the ULTIMATE JOY,
think of the joy it’ll give all the way"


So I go far and far
living each moment, loving every tear
living my life, loving my pain..
This keeps me happy all the way
till I die in peace
and reach MY ULTIMATE AIM....THE ALMIGHTY

:: A cry day!!! ::

Such a painful day for me...alot of things happen...alot of things run in my mind...

very hurtful went thinks the past...i miss all the moments...Sometimes i do think that better to be the small baby girl back, so that i dun have to worry, cry, sad everyday by thinking all the problem surrendered me!!!

I'm Shaila.This is my first blog and its the first day..  :D
I love to be simple, and at the same time must be happening..Thats Shaila..I'm the kind very sensitive type, very fast get hurt..very hapy go luck type too...Oh yea...I do gets super high on CHOLOLATES & ICE CREAM & CAKES & STRAWBERRY..thats Shaila's favourite..Sometimes I'm too smart and sometimes I'm too stupid..XD. very unpredictable and kinda weird too.


Honestly speaking I'm stubborn & lil arrogant & sometimes do be Sarcastic & inpatient & selfish...so this is me..if you think you can't handle me...then you don't DESERVE ME AT ALL !!!
